What is this?

Free Text to Speech Online is a free text-to-speech tool that runs entirely in your browser. Type any text, pick a voice, adjust rate, pitch and volume, and listen to or download the result as MP3.

How it works

Your browser first obtains a short-lived access token, then sends the text (wrapped in SSML) to the speech synthesis service, which returns the MP3 audio. Nothing is synthesized on our side - there is no server at all.

Long texts are split into chunks at punctuation boundaries (max 1800 UTF-8 bytes each), synthesized chunk by chunk, and concatenated into a single MP3 file.
